About Me

My name is Katherine Calcagno; I am a senior at Wake Forest University studying Economics and Marketing Communications. The combination of my academic skill sets and real-world experience allows me to look at marketing from a broader perspective, understanding how the consumer will respond and how the brand will perform vis-à-vis the competition. I strive to bring my skills and knowledge to every setting.

Professionally, I have interned at TIAA for the past two summers. In 2023, I worked as a Marketing and Communications intern developing a content strategy for the wealth-focused newsletter, using omnichannel data to optimize audience engagement across demographics. In 2024, I was a part of the Employer Brand Strategy team, where I focused on evaluating multi-source campaign data, creating performance dashboards, and developing strategic recommendations to enhance internal marketing initiatives. Across both roles, I have presented strategic insights to executive leaders, giving my perspective on the future of TIAA.

My experience has driven my interest in the financial services industry. However, as I advance in my career, I would like to explore opportunities in the consumer packaged goods and beauty industries. By completing a variety of projects, as you will see in my portfolio, I am working to expand my knowledge across industries.
